Smart Sindara Meets A music star! – A World Music Day Adventure
It started with a riddle.
Smart Sindara found a note tucked inside her music workbook during choir practice. Written in curly handwriting, it said:
“If music is the bridge, then your voice is the spark. Meet me where the melodies sleep.”

“What does that mean?” she whispered, eyes wide. She flipped the note over. A map of Lagos—circled boldly in purple ink—led to a place called Lagos Harmony Recording Studio.
At first, Smart Sindara thought it was one of Romeo’s pranks. (Her puppy had once buried her math homework in the garden, after all.)

But the next day, her music teacher Mr. Bello confirmed it.
“Yes, Smart Sindara. You’ve been selected for a top-secret music project—for World Music Day. And guess who’s waiting for you?”
“Who?”
He grinned. “John Drey.”
Smart Sindara nearly fainted. “THE John Drey?!” Her voice cracked like a djembe drum.
She sprinted home, grabbed her idea notebook (purple with music notes), her special polka-dot hair bow, and, of course, Romeo. “Let’s go make music magic!”
When she stepped into the studio, it was like entering a dream. Instruments lined the walls. Lights blinked. Cables curled like electric snakes. And right there, adjusting a microphone, was Mr. John himself.

“Smart Sindara!” he said, smiling. “I’ve heard all about you—your voice, your poetry, your wild imagination.”
Smart Sindara grinned. “I brought more than imagination today.” She reached into her backpack and pulled out:
1. A tiny wooden talking drum (“Handmade by Uncle Tunji!”)
2. A recycled bottle flute she made in science class
3. A notebook filled with song lyrics, poems, and a rap she wrote titled “Echoes of the Earth”
John’s eyes sparkled. “You're not just a singer—you’re a music inventor!”
“That’s what I was born to be,” she said confidently.
They jammed. Smart Sindara showed John how her bottle flute made a sound like rain on a tin roof. He layered guitar chords under her poem. Then, she pulled up a rhythm she recorded from her grandma's pounding fufu—yes, actual fufu pounding!—and suggested they turn it into the beat drop.

“Genius,” John said.
By afternoon, the studio was a sonic playground.

“We drum with our feet, we sing with the trees,
One world, one voice, one chance to say—
Music unites us every day!”
This is for the all children, all over the world
Happy world music day

During one recording, the power flickered off.
“Your voice, your spirit,” John said, “they’re unforgettable.”
Smart Sindara laughed. “So is this day. I’m calling it the ‘World Music Spark.’ Because music didn’t just unite us—it ignited us.”
He nodded. “Let’s release it together on June 21st. A duet. A global gift.”
“And let’s challenge other kids around the world to remix it with their own local sounds!” she added. “We’ll call it the Harmony Challenge.”
John looked stunned. “Smart Sindara, you don’t just sing—you start movements.”

As they posed for a promo photo—Smart Sindara holding her talking drum, John strumming his guitar, and Romeo howling a background note—they both knew this wasn’t just a one-time collab.
It was the beginning of something magical.
